2005 Pinot Noir Spring Grove Vineyards

Spring Grove Vineyards is a group of extremely small properties located in the Spring Grove District of San Benito County. Complex and elegant, this Pinot Noir offers aromas of red berries and fresh plums. The mouth feel is full and finely textured with subtle tannins and a touch of high natural acidity. French oak aging provides hints of vanilla and smoke as well as a slight perception of sweetness on the finish. Stylistically classic, this wine can be paired with various types of seafood, game, and spicy entrees.

2006 Pinot Noir Lucia Highlands Vineyard

Lucia Highland Vineyard is located in the northern region of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation of Monterey County and just a stone’s throw across the street from our winery. The third release of the Lucia Highlands Vineyard Pinot Noir has vastly exceeded our expectations. This wine is rich and elegant, offering deep concentrated layers of cherry, current, and violets and a hint of caramel from oak aging. Stylistically classic, it wine pairs well with Mediterranean cuisine, especially fresh vegetable, seafood, shellfish, and pork.

2005 Pinot Noir Idyll Times Vineyard

Located at the base of the Eastern foothills of San Benito County, Idyll Times Vineyard is sheltered from the winds of “the Mistral” climate; characterized by warm, breezy days and cool nights. This jammy and deeply colored Pinot Noir wine has concentrated aromas of ripe blackberry, clove, and a hint of smoke. The full, lush mouth feel follows layered flavors of black plum and vanilla, reflecting the depth of the fruit and lavish use of oak. 2005 Pinot Noir Four Boys™ Vineyard

Four Boys Vineyard is the name we gave to the four small Pinot Noir vineyards we have at the winery that, coincidentally, matches the number of sons I have. Our vineyards are aptly named Anthony, Stephen, Robert, and John. Planted to the famous “La Tache” clone of Pinot Noir, with origins from Burgundy, as well as several Dijon clones, these vineyards rival the best within the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation. This jammy and complex wine has deep concentrated aromas of ripe black cherry, spice, and a hint of smoke. The full, lush mouth feel follows layered flavors of candied plum and vanilla, reflecting the depth of the fruit and lavish use of oak. Beautifully balanced, it offers good body, rich texture, and a long, lingering finish. Grilled meats or hearty bistro makes for a perfect match.
